Happy New Year!

2013-new-year

Happy New Year to you all! I hope everyone enjoyed a magical holiday season and are getting back into the swing of regular life again. I hope you had more sense than I did, who basically went on a holiday bender throwing all of the rules out of the window. Lack of sleep, lack of exercise, lack of green foods, excess wine. But hey, it was fun and I paid for it with a New Year flu and a flare up.

I feel a sense of normalcy returning this week as I get back into the swing of a 5-day work week (first one since before Thanksgiving!), back to the gym and feeling better. I think I’ve learned my lesson for this time around. I won’t say that I’ll never do it again, because you and I both know that’s a lie. I’m human. We mess up, we cheat on our diets on the holidays and on special occasions and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

The coming of a new year gives us the chance to get back on track and start fresh. I plan on focusing my energies this year to helping my skin from the inside out. I want to learn and better understand the role that nutrition and my overall health has on my skin. I want to share the information that I learn and continue to help spread awareness about psoriasis. I want to learn about home remedies and natural treatments that I can share with you.

2013 will be an incredibly hectic and amazing year. I get to stand next to my sister while she marries her best friend in June and in December she’ll stand next to me when I marry the love of my life. I hope you all have your own wonderful things to look forward to and the new year treats you well.
