I’m excited to share that I recently had the incredible opportunity to be a guest on the Our Skin: A Personal Discovery podcast, which is hosted by the incredible Holly Frey! 🎙️ In addition to sharing the personal stories about people living with psoriasis, the podcast dives into the history of psoriasis and explores everything from ancient remedies to modern dermatology breakthroughs.
It was such a meaningful experience to speak about my journey with psoriasis, all of the different kinds of treatments that I’ve tried over the years, and shed light on what it’s really like living with this chronic condition. For me, it wasn’t just about talking through my personal struggles—it was about connecting with others who feel isolated or misunderstood. I wanted to share how my life has changed since my diagnosis, but also how I’ve learned to find strength, resilience, and even humor in managing psoriasis every day.
During the episode, we dove deep into topics like flare-ups, the emotional and mental toll of psoriasis, and the importance of advocacy within our community. Holly shares I talked about how important it is to have a support system, and how my work on Just A Girl With Spots has helped me build connections with others facing similar challenges. If there’s one message I wanted to leave with listeners, it’s that none of us are alone on this journey—and there’s power in sharing our stories.
If you’re someone living with psoriasis or just curious about what it’s like, I’d love for you to tune in to the episode. Let me know in the comments what you learned!
